Attacks on ANY person based on race, sexuality, or religious beliefs is an attack on ALL humanity. Acts of terror & hatred have no place in a loving civilized world. This has to stop. Praying for enlightenment for us all to find a solution. My heart and prayers are with all of the families and friends who have lost a loved one in Orlando.

My heart is heavy. I'm having difficultly processing all that's been in the news this week. There is action that I believe can be taken to avoid future tragedies but I haven't found a way to express them without offending someone. Just posting a peace flag yesterday sparked arguments in the comments section. This showed me how deeply we have all been effected by what's happened. What makes Orlando in particular tricky to talk about is that there are many issues deeply rooted inside: race, sexual orientation, gun laws, religion. All highly opinionated areas topics we may just avoid in conversation. Do you think we could use the comments section in this post to share ideas on how we can discuss touchy topics without offending each other? When I speak up about things I think need to change it is not to hate or blame but work towards creating more harmony in this world. I may have different views on what action to take, but I want the same thing you do: to feel safe and cared for in my country. I want to relate to you. I want to know how we can have a dialogue without getting mad at each other. Something has to change; I'd like us to work together. I will be monitoring and if this conversation turns towards name calling, blame or hate - you will be blocked. #hatefreezone

I'm truly at a loss for words. To everyone in Orlando affected by this massacre, my thoughts, love, & prayers are with u ❤️💛💚💙💜— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) June 12, 2016
Last night - in celebration of pride- a group of people - people like you or me or your neighbors or family were dancing & listening to music & celebrating life, just like you or me or your neighbors would. And then, one man and his guns took that life away from them. That's cruel. And it's exactly against what America stands for. I try to make music that hopefully brings joy to people and makes people dance and makes people feel and makes people LOVE... Because there's nothing more pure and beautiful than that act- and the fact that that resulted in the largest mass shooting in American history leaves me heartbroken. I used to LIVE there. I hope we can wake up and realize we are ALL THE SAME. Just humans. One species. Just wanting to be LOVED. #PrayForOrlando #MoreLoveLessHate

There's no better reminder that love conquers all than joining the LGBQT community at LA Pride tonight. I could have danced all night in celebration of our freedom and equality. In memory of the victims this weekend, we stand with you and your families. 💗

We have been speechless today. It's very hard to believe such cruelty and confusion can exist in such a beautiful world. Our hearts are with Christina Grimmie's family, and with all the families of everyone who lost their lives or have been wounded in Orlando, Fl.

50 mortes. Meu Deus!! Eles apenas estavam se divertindo! #prayfororlando #nãoahomofobia #nãoaopreconceito

@capitalpridedc Let's dance and sing as fierce as we can for all of those beautiful lives that were lost. Nothing will stop us from being ourselves, celebrating and being proud of who we are. Let's celebrate the moment we have tonight and do it for those that cannot be with us. Never take any day for granted. We're not promised tomorrow. I love you all and can't wait to hug you all today. ❤️💛💚💙💜 this one is for our family we lost in Orlando. #PrayForOrlando
